Bowmen of the Tors actively encourages its members to record their scores regularly, through a number of badge award schemes and to enter competitions, both in person and virtually.  We run at least one open competition at Tors annually, sometimes more and have regular in-house events, such as our Halloween, Christmas and Easter fun shoots.  We take part in the area’s Postal competitions during the winter months.

Portsmouth Round

The most popular scoring round in the UK is the Portsmouth Round, and our club is no exception to this. The Portsmouth round is a real challenge to our members, and we issue badges depending on the archers highest score with a total of 21 badges to be won.

The badges jump in score by 25 from 300 up to 575, they then increase by 5 points to 600.

300, 325, 350, 375, 400, 425, 450, 475, 500, 525, 550, 575, 580, 585, 590, 595, 600.

You only need to make this score once in order to obtain the appropriate Portsmouth badge.

252 Badge Award Scheme

The “252″ Awards is a badge scheme to encourage accuracy and good grouping at all distances, by all ages.

Using a full size target face the aim is to score 252 or above with a limited amount of arrows, and at a set distance.

These are available at 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 yard distances. In order to gain a badge you need to shoot a qualifying score on two different days
